Palak Khichdi is a wholesome vegetarian dish made with lentils, rice and spinach. This gluten-free dish cooked in ghee. Palak Khichdi is an ideal one-dish meal for such a day. It is healthy and stomach Also includes, pureeing of spinach.
Steps to make Palak/Spinach Khichadi:
- Heat a cooker on stove
- Pour 4 tablespoon of roses,once heated add the garlic pod finely chopped, finely chopped onion and finely chopped green chillies.
- Stir till the onion becomes translucent…now add the coriander powder and jeera powder..stir for a minute…
- Now add the washed rice,dal and chopped spinach.Cover with lid and cook till there are 3 whistles
- Once cooker us cooled open the lid…mix all the ingredients well to form a homegenous mix..
- Again switch on the gas once it is about to boil add the yogurt,salt, kitchen king masala and lemon juice..give it a stir and cover with lid…switch off the gas after a minute.
- Now prepare the tempering by heating 1 tablespoon ghee..to it add jeera,mustard seeds and dried red chili.
- Take out the required quantity in a serving bowl.. garnish it with the tempering we prepared as serve it hot with any pickle of your choice…
